Shower Me with Love, Friendship and a Few Sprinkles of Gifts

This year has been about a lot of things and one of those things has been planning a wedding, and when friends and family catch wind that you are getting married they go into planning mode on how to throw you the "perfect" bridal shower or party you have been to this side of the Mississippi that would be the side that includes Georgia on it. Without further ado I present to all some highlights of these "perfect" bridal showers and parties that I shared with family and friends and I tell you deep in my soul I cherish each and everyone of these people.

Meet the Miller's - this is my family I am marrying into and oh my I am blessed. I could not ask for better in-laws. I inherit a slew of aunts, one awesome sister-in-law, a father-in-law that just loves me with no caution and a mother-in-law that I want to be closer to. I could not ask for anything more. Like I said I am blessed. (little picture show)

Family & Friends Bridal Shower - This shower was organized and hosted by my little sister and matron of honor Lisa. She had hosting help from mom's church friends, Lisa's mother-in-law, my aunt and my bridesmaids. This was a great shower for many reasons. I got to see family I have not seen in a long while, friends I cherish showed up and I loved every minute of it.

Pre-Wedding Bash - hosted by the Shuman's for my Atlanta friends that can't travel to Atlanta at a drop of a hat. This was a fun, let loose party. A few gifts were given but for the most part it was a time to enjoy our engagement and celebrate friendship and I think that is definitely what we did.

Lastly, Church Shower - happened in September and it was laid back and enjoyable to share my engagement with my church family. Some of the people at this shower have watched me show up since I was a teenager and probably were just as happy as I am that the time had come to me getting married.

All these showers made me realize how grateful I am to have wonderful people in my life. People that love me unconditionally and also stand by me through good and bad times. Who could ask for anything more? I am so blessed!
