About Me

Hi, my name is Leann and I am a 30-something year-old, recently married and learning to become the best wife I can be, while trying to navigate my life dreams and hobbies around my husband's; as well as trying to mesh our similar and not-so similar tastes in home decor, meal choices, etc.

This blog was meant to document all our newlywed experience last year, but never took flight. So I am now trying another approach in that I blog about, document, etc., our life living abroad and the positives and negatives of it. I would also love to talk about baking, planning and journaling, The Any Book Book Club and living in a military community.

I hope those that stumble upon this small personal lifestyle and travel blog will find something enjoyable about it and would like to stay awhile, connect with me, and maybe even give me some wonderful wifely wisdom.

Things I Love:

Gift-giving - I love giving gifts great or small to friends and family. I hope they are unique semi special. I do not just wait for special occasions, I am always on a the lookout for interesting items to brighten someone's day.

Baking - It is relaxing and I am creating something out of nothing and whoever gets to enjoy it, finds it to be very yummy.

Planning - I really enjoy planning events. Lately, my only planning I am doing involves organizing The Any Book Club meetings and such. I sometimes dream of being a wedding planner one day, I guess we will see.

Reading - I love to open a book and escape into a fantastical world, or read about an adventure, friendship, coming-of-age or mystery.  Reading to me is a peaceful and relaxing.

Photography - I enjoy photographing old architecture and landscapes. I particularly love wrought iron fences and graveyards, is that morbid? i don't think so.

Crafting/Journaling - being creative in many forms help me stay true to my "artsy" inner child.

Festivaling - Yes it is a made-up word. I enjoy going to wine and beer festivals; literary festivals, craft festivals, etc. I enjoy experiencing the dynamics of these events.
